An HSAFP President’s Typical Tasks

  • Plans and leads meetings, reviews meeting minutes, and maintains frequent contact with HSAFP Management on Connect.

  • Co-leads explaining/using the HSAFP monthly curriculum to chapter members, activities, meeting agendas, and community events (with the Vice President).

  • Regularly communicates with the Teacher Advisor.

  • Manages the HSAFP Connect school group by announcing events and answering questions, maintains the member roster, and oversees member recruitment.

  • Delegates tasks to chapter officers when needed.

  • Helps the Vice President and Project Manager find partnerships with other school groups and community organizations.

  • Completes Pioneer training yearly.

⚠️Recommendation (but not a requirement):
If you need more help because of your chapter has a large number of HSAFP members (or, maybe one of your officers won’t be at school for a while, or you want honorary members to help), your leadership team can also add four additional HSAFP Representatives.

These HSAFP Representatives should try to be from each class (9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grades).

A group with their "hands in:" all stacked, ready to make some moves as a team!

We are looking for leaders who are willing to learn how to be adaptable, ethical, and empathetic in a variety of difficult situations. Leaders who are organized and support the HSAFP chapter as a whole will be crucial to your chapter’s success. If your other Chapter Officers, or members, need your support, be that leader who steps in, listens, and helps!
