Welcome to HSAFP’s Research Journal Club!
If you’re interested in learning more about the diverse research across the medical field, you’ve come to the right place!
In addition to our curriculum activities that you will complete with your chapter each month of the school year (see our latest courses), the HSAFP Executive Team will also release a new monthly Research Journal Club course.
Research Journal Club courses will include a medical research article for you to read, a video reflection on the article from a medical professional, and questions and activities to do with your chapter, other HSAFP peers, and on your own!
This month’s topic and guest physician

Melissa Glasser-Caine MD joins us this month in reading and discussing the peer-reviewed journal article, “More Than Maintaining Competence: A Qualitative Study of How Physicians Conceptualize and Engage in Lifelong Learning” by O’Brien et al. (2024), published in the journal Perspectives on Medical Education.
Discussion Board
Would you like to discuss Research Journal Club even more, but with your peers, from all over the world, who are interested in medical research? Head over to our Curriculum Activities forum!
