At its core, the discipline of medicine values innovative research that betters health outcomes for individuals and communities. There are of course large scientific advancements, like insulin, that may immediately pop into your head. However, medical inventions can also include diagnostic processes, patient care, medical instruments, and much, much more. As a general rule, if it makes someone’s life easier, it can be considered a medical innovation!
Within the next two months, the HSAFP Executive Team is asking you and your chapter to design a medical innovation presentation project of your chapter’s choice. Your project will be viewed by our guest physician panel, who will provide your chapter with feedback and awards to chapters whose projects best fit our Medical Mavericks Challenge Categories.

Why hello! Just a reminder: please read through the entirety of this course to help you plan for this project and your meetings during the next few months.
You’ll want to make sure to draw on any and all of the activities provided in this course for your future HSAFP meetings and individual development (and remind your members of the activities that you may not get to during meetings but they can do on their own!).
Note that you will want to submit this Medical Mavericks Challenge Presentation by Sunday, December 21st at 11:59 PM PT!
