What is a BS/MD Program?

To complete a BS/MD, students complete a bachelor’s degree and then proceed, conditionally, into medical school. BS/MD Program: 
6 to 8 years
Residency Program and Internship: 
3 to 7 years
Optional Fellowship: 
1 to 2 years
Continual Board Certification: 
Every 7 to 10 years

Total Time: 9 and 15 years

What is a BS/MD?

A BS/MD program, or direct medical program, is an accelerated route to medical school for high school students. These programs are limited in number and are highly competitive.

To complete a BS/MD, students complete a bachelor’s degree and then proceed, conditionally, into medical school.
