Hello, my name is Maumita Karthik. I am a student at Triangle Math and Science Academy. I am from Illinois and I currently live in Holly Springs, NC. Some extracurricular activities I do are dance and volleyball. I enjoy doing them because I’ve been doing both dance and volleyball for a while and just think it’s fun to do. I am interested in being a physician because there are different types of studies in it. Personally, what interests me the most in the physician’s field are dermatology and psychiatry. Hello! My name is Harini Suthari and I currently hold the position of secretary for my school’s HSAFP club. I’m from India, but I currently live in Apex, North Carolina. One of my favorite hobbies has to be playing the piano! I’ve been doing it for 7 years now because it helps me relax when my mind is in turmoil.

I’ve become sort of infatuated with the idea of going into the medical field after seeing one of my close friends pass away due to a malignant brain tumor almost 6 years ago. Even though society has come so far, we are still far away from being able to save everyone, which is why I want to become a physician. I want to give back to the science community, which has taught me so much over the years.

I greatly enjoy human anatomy, biology, & especially neurology; I think the brain is the most important organ in the human body! Thank you for reading my introduction.

Hello my name is Miranda Hu I am from Triangle Math and Science Academy in apex NC. One of my current hobbies is art. I have always looked doodling and drawing since I was a kid- Im not really sure why I enjoy it so much but it is just fun and makes me feel happy! The reason I want to be a physician is because I want to make some sort of positive impact on the world. Of course its sad seeing people die (or pets) and as a health professional you would probably see a lot of death in the field, but If I can help save the life of some people with what I learn, even if it is impossible to save everyone, I would still be making a huge impact on THEIR lives. Of course I would be nervous about being a doctor because “What if I mess this up and it costs them quality of life! Or even their whole life.” but I will just have to make sure I study well to be confident enough. Plus the human body and how it works is pretty interesting with the intricate complex network of parts collaborating with amazing specificity. Im excited to participate in this club to learn more about the medical field!

Hi! My name is Mahi and I’m a member of TMSA’s HSAFP in North Carolina. Some of my favourite hobbies are diamond painting and drawing. When it comes to diamond painting, I always love listening to music and putting down the diamonds. Once it’s done, I enjoy looking at the final product. In 9th grade, I began to think what I should try as a career path now that I was in highschool. I thought I should try medicine and see if it works out for me. Hi there, my name is Praneel Sista and I live in North Carolina, I’m from Georgia but moved all over the country while growing up. One current hobby of mine is just looking up whatever is on my mind, whether that be a game, a book, or anything else that comes to mind. I enjoy this hobby because it helps me understand more about the world I live, while also just giving myself a break from school. I’m interested in becoming a physician because I really love to see people grow with my help. People who can ask questions, and develop themselves in a healthy environment is what piqued my interest in the medical field, I looked up how they do it, what procedures do they use etc. Especially Radiology, the treatment of disorders and injuries by viewing them from CT or X-ray’s really piqued my interest, and that is what I aspire to become.
